Welcome to the Emerson School District! The Emerson Public Schools boasts a rich and proud history of providing an outstanding, comprehensive educational program designed to enable all of our students to reach their full creative and intellectual potential. Our early childhood, special education, enrichment, advanced placement, college preparatory, middle college, athletic, performing arts, and fine arts programs along with a broad range of other activities and curriculum are among the best in the State of New Jersey.   As Emerson is one of the smallest K-12 districts in the state, the opportunities for our students to excel are enhanced by our ability to harness the “social capital” that could only exist in a close knit community of supportive parents, senior citizens, and civic leadership.

In 2010, New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Emerson High School 34th out of 322 high schools in the state. In addition, Emerson was ranked number 1 in its District Factor Group or DFG, schools with similar socio-economic communities.  This year, The College Board named Emerson High School to the Advanced Placement Honor Roll for “Expanding Opportunity and Improving Performance for A.P. Students.”
